Today, HP unveiled some new retail solutions that it will make available through its Device-as-a-Service offering. As you"d probably guess, they"re powered by Windows 10, and they can be configured with Windows 10 Pro or IoT Enterprise LTSC.
The Engage go is "a flexible solution with an innovative docking design for seamless transitions between fixed and mobile operations to enable rich, secure customer experiences." It contains the security features that you"d expect from one of HP"s commercial devices, such as a self-healing BIOS that checks it against a master copy and replaces it if it"s corrupted. It comes with two-factor authentication, NFC, and an optional fingerprint sensor.
The device also comes with seventh-gen Intel Core processors, and it"s MIL-STD 810G tested. There"s also the Engage Go Mobile System, which is a companion device for use without the Smart Dock accessory.
There are also new modular platforms, the Engage Flex Pro and Engage Flex Pro-C. With the security of the Engage Go convertible, these are meant to be more flexible solutions for the "most demanding environments". These have 8th-gen Core processors, Optane memory, and more. It"s meant to be a solution for point of sale, video surveillance, processing/controlling, or digital signage.
The Engage Go convertible and the Engage Go Mobile will be available this September, while the Engage Flex Pro and Flex Pro-C will be available in August.
