Today, HP announced all-new gaming hardware under its Omen brand, including the new Omen 15 laptop. As you"d probably expect, it includes Intel"s new 45W H-series CPUs, which are hexa-core for the eighth generation. You can also configure the laptop with up to an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 GPU with 8GB GDDR5.
The 15.6-inch display offers options between 60Hz and 144Hz for 1080p, or you can get it in 4K at 60Hz. As you"d expect from a premium gaming PC, it has an RGB keyboard, and you can control that along with other things from the Omen Command Center. One new feature that"s new to Command Center is the ability to stream your games to other PCs.
Most of this is all pretty standard for a new gaming laptop, including the new H-series CPUs, the GPU, and the options of resolutions and refresh rates in the display. That"s not all that HP is announcing today though.
The new HP Mindframe Headset is designed to keep you cool while you"re playing. There"s the new HP Sequencer Keyboard, which includes optical-mechanical switches, an anodized aluminum frame, and an extra USB port on it. There"s a new HP Reactor Mouse, the Transceptor Backpack that"s designed to make it easy to carry around your big gaming laptop, a new budget mouse, and even a new Mouse Pad.
The Omen 15 laptop will be coming on July 29 starting at $979.99. The Mindframe Headset will be available later on this year, while the Sequencer Keyboard is coming in July - like the rest of the peripherals - for $179.99. The Reactor Mouse will cost $79.99, the Transceptor Backpack will cost $249.99, the Mouse 400 will be $39.99, and the Mouse Pad 200 will be $19.99.
