A few days ago, HP posted a teaser image of an upcoming Windows 8 all-in-one PC. Today, that PC was officially revealed as part of the company"s IFA trade show announcements. It"s called the ENVY Recline and it has a rather interesting new take in terms of how the touchscreen is designed.
HP"s The Next Bench blog has the details of the ENVY Recline, which will come in both 23-inch and 27-inch models, along with a special Beats Edition version of the 23-inch model with better speakers along with red and black accents on the case. As you can see in the video above, the ENVY Recline has a hinge for the touchscreen that not only allows it to be moved to a flat position but also supports moving the screen below the desk that the stand is sitting on.
All of the ENVY Recline models will have Intel"s fourth generation Core processors, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. The regular 23-inch and 27-inch models will be available for sale on HP"s website on Friday with the starting price of $1,099. The Beats special edition version won"t be sold until November.
HP has also announced its new ENVY Phoenix 810 desktop today, for some good old fashioned hardcore PC gaming. The desktop has Intel"s Core i7-4820k processor, up to 16GB of RAM, up to 3 TB of hard drive storage and an NVIDIA GTX 760 GPU. It will go on sale October 16th starting at $1,299.
Finally, HP announced the Pavilion 23tm touchscreen monitor that has been optimized to work best when connected to a Windows 8 PC. The 23-inch display has a resolution of 1920x1080, and the screen can be adjusted 178 degrees. It also comes with two integrated speakers. The display goes on sale October 6th for $349.
