HTC launched a new promotion for its One A9 mid-range phone today, offering the device for just $299, which is 40% off of its normal price of $499. The discount applies to all models, which includes unlocked, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint.
It"s worth noting that if you"re on Sprint, you"ll need the carrier"s model. AT&T and T-Mobile subscribers can purchase their carrier"s model or the unlocked device.
The company also notes that the device comes with a year of Uh Oh protection. The free plan covers not only cracked screens, but water damage as well. HTC also offers a trade-in program, which can get you up to $300 toward a new phone.
The One A9 was originally announced as a device that would get Android updates within 15 days of when Google released them to Nexus devices, but don"t think you"ll get Nougat that easily. HTC announced a couple weeks ago that it would be breaking its 15-day promise, and would instead deliver Nougat some time after the HTC 10 gets it, which will be some time in Q4.
The company also announced a successor to the device, the One A9s, which has almost universally inferior specs to the A9.
The discount on the HTC One A9 is for this week only, so if you want one, you can grab it right here.
