HTC officially unveiled its next major smartphone product, the Android powered HTC One, in mid-February. At the time, the company said that shipments of the 4.7 inch HTC One would begin in late March in the US and other parts of the world.
Today, HTC admitted that those plans have changed, at least for most of the world. Engadget reports that according to a spokesperson for the company, the HTC One will now begin shipments sometime in April. There will be two exceptions. One is in Germany, where it will still go on sale late this month via the O2 wireless carrier. Also, people who pre-ordered the smartphone will also get the HTC One shipped to them by late March.
HTC has not revealed why it has pushed back the launch of its flagship product a few weeks, although it"s more than likely there were a few problems on the manufacturing end to solve. In the meantime, you can check Neowin"s first impressions of the HTC One, with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor and its impressive 1080p display, along with a video hands-on report and a comparison of how the smartphone"s camera compares to Nokia"s Windows Phone-based Lumia 920.
