When HTC initially debuted the One A9 in the latter part of 2015, it also promised that it would update the device within 15 days after Google released Android updates for its own devices. While it would later go on to break that promise, HTC has slowly and steadily released Android 7.0 Nougat for its devices. Now, the Sprint variant of the One A9 will finally receive the update, making it that much sweeter.
The Nougat update is now rolling out over the air and will hit Sprint A9s over the next couple of weeks. If you are not willing to wait and simply want the update now, you can head to HTCs support page that offers a walkthrough of how to manually download and install the update onto your device. If going this route, be careful and make sure you back up all your important information, as the update will wipe out all your data.
If you dont yet own the device but youre interested in it, you can now purchase the HTC One A9 for $299.99. This applies to the unlocked version and carriers" variants for Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile. If youre looking for something newer, HTC has recently announced its Ultra U handset that offers a secondary display but will come at a hefty price of $749.
