Earlier today, HTC formally unveiled the 10, delivering everything that we had expected through various leaks. Perhaps the one unexpected item was that the device will not be available through AT&T, only offering an unlocked model for users of the carrier.
Of course, an unlocked HTC 10 will run you $699, which is pretty steep. Luckily, the firm has sent out emails to its "loyal customers" with a $100 off coupon, which should help to offset the cost of the device.
More good news is that even if you haven"t received the email, you can still use the code, as long as you know what it is. Here are the codes that we know of:
-
USA: HTC1008
-
Canada: HTCCA1008
-
UK: HTC10
Of course, there"s always fine print. For the USA code, it"s only valid in the 50 states and the District of Columbia, so it would appear that customers in Puerto Rico are out of luck.
The email also states that this deal is for pre-orders, so you"re going to need to claim the deal some time before the actual release of the phone in May.
Nevertheless, if you"re in the US, Canada, or the UK and you were planning on pre-ordering an HTC 10, you can grab yourself a sweet little discount.
