It wasn"t that long ago that HTC debuted its U11 handset. While the top-tier device offers the expected set of specifications like Qualcomm"s Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, and more - where the U11 stands out from the crowd is with its unique Edge Sense technology. Now, the firm is bringing updates to Edge Sense that will expand the phone"s capabilities.
If unfamiliar, Edge Sense allows actions to be performed with just a squeeze of the handset. Previously, the feature allowed users to squeeze the side bezels to take a picture, play or pause music, or even launch your favorite apps. With the upcoming update, HTC is touting that the feature will be able to be customized to do even more - like zooming into a map or an image, offering a split screen view of your calendar, and taking and hanging up phone calls.
Although HTC did show off the new details, it did not reveal when these improvements would be coming to the phone. While it might not be dominating the numbers quite like Samsung, this is the company"s strongest offering in recent years, outselling its two previous handsets - the One M9 and HTC 10. If interested, you can pick up the U11 as an unlocked model for $649 or if in the United States, head to your local Sprint store.
