HTC announced its next product launch today, which is slated for January 12, 2017. It"s marked simply with the text "for U", and you"ll notice that the "U" is mirrored in the HTC logo.
The event will be held shortly after CES, which ends on January 8. It"s possible that the company could announce the successor to its current flagship, the 10, but it seems that it wouldn"t be available right away, given that the Snapdragon 835 chipset isn"t slated for a release until some time around Mobile World Congress.
Since there"s so little information, this announcement could really be anything. Last time HTC teased an announcement like this, the firm ended up announcing a pair of mid-range devices, one of which was powered by a Snapdragon 400 chipset...in 2016.
Whatever the announcement ends up being, we"ll be on top of it, so make sure to stay tuned to Neowin for more news.
