While HTC has slashed the price on its latest handset, the U Ultra, its upcoming "U" codenamed Ocean has been gaining more attention thanks to a number of leaks that have emerged over the past month. According to the latest information, the handset will offer protection against the elements with its IP57 rating and will also follow the unpopular trend of not offering a headphone jack.
Beyond the two features mentioned above, the HTC U will be one of the unique entries to emerge so far this year with its touch sensitive bezels being dubbed Edge Sensors. Edge Sensors will allow a user to interact with apps utilizing the frame of the phone. By tapping and caressing the sides of the device, users will be able to select apps and scroll through options. The handset will also offer improved audio capture with its array of microphones, as well an HDR+ mode for the camera that allows users to live preview images with HDR applied.
