While there has been much hype surrounding HTC"s November event in Taipei, it looks like the bar can be lowered a little, as it is being reported that the event will not be for the anticipated U11 Plus.
According to Evan Blass, who has a fairly pristine track record when it comes to digging up previously unreleased details, the HTC event in November will be for the mid-range U11 Life. If unfamiliar, the U11 Life is a mid-range device that previously had the code-name Ocean Life and is expected to feature a 5.2-inch 1080p display and could arrive packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor. It will come in two varieties - one with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and another with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
As for its camera, the smartphone will have a 16MP camera on the rear and also a 16MP camera on the front. Despite being a mid-range product, it will feature an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, the firm"s Edge Sense technology, and include a 2,600mAh battery. While it is a bit of let down that we won"t be seeing the HTC U11 Plus, hopefully, the firm will unveil the handset sometime before the end of the year.
