It will be almost a year since Huawei released the Mate 9. Over the course of 2017, the firm has kept busy, releasing the P10, P10 Plus, and other handsets. As we start heading into the last quarter of the year, the firm is now preparing the release of its top-tier handset, the Mate 10.
Today, the Huawei Mobile Deutschland YouTube page released a new video, showing off a range of different environments and a quick glimpse at the rear of a device that has a 20MP and 12MP sensor. In translation, the description under the video states: "Ultimate Camera - See more. More sharpness. More movement. Be curious about the new #Mate series."
While this certainly looks exciting, the two sensors featured in the video are nothing new, as they are the same sensors that are currently on the Mate 9.
As before, details about the device are rare but it could arrive with the firm"s unannounced processor, a 10nm Kirin 970 SoC. Along with the new chip, the handset could also come with a near bezel-less display. Unfortunately, we are quite a while away from the actual reveal of the handset, as the Mate 10 launch event is scheduled for October 16.
