Huawei introduces new 360-degree EnVizion camera

After months of rumors, Huawei finally announced its latest entries in its Mate series, the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. As a little bit of a surprise, the firm also revealed a higher-end model of the handset with the Mate 10 Porsche Design.

To coincide with the releases, the firm also announced a few new accessories, like its 10,000mAh Power Bank with SuperCharge capabilities, and the EnVizion 360 camera, which is perhaps the more interesting of the lot, as it gives owners of the Mate 10 line an easy way to take 360 videos and images.

Simply plug the accessory into the USB Type-C port on the bottom of the phone, flip it about so that the camera resides on the top, and start taking pictures and videos. The EnVizion 360 comes packed with two 13P camera sensors that can shoot 5K photos and 2K 360 videos. Huawei has touted that the software is also optimized for sharing these 360 captures to various supported social media channels.

This isn"t the first time we have seen something like this from Huawei, as it released a 360-degree camera dubbed the Honor VR Camera in partnership with Insta360, through its sister company Honor. Unfortunately, Huawei did not make it clear when or how much the device will cost, but hopefully, the firm will announce more information about the exciting accessories soon.
