Huawei launches ultra-thin, ultra-light MateBook Windows 10 tablet in the UK from £749.99

In February, at Mobile World Congress 2016, Huawei unveiled the MateBook, an ultra-thin, ultra-light Windows 10 tablet, clearly inspired by Microsoft"s Surface range. With a detachable keyboard and stylus support, Huawei is aiming the device primarily at business users, saying that it "seamlessly integrates mobility, high efficiency, work and entertainment".

After launching the MateBook in the US last month, Huawei announced today that the premium tablet is now available in the United Kingdom, with availability at thirteen stores around the country:

The Huawei MateBook is available in the UK in Gold from Curry’s Stratford, Oxford Street, Aberdeen 2in1-HS, Cardiff, Canary Wharf, Manchester Arndale, Bluewater, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Bath, Brighton, Manchester Trafford, Edinburgh Princes Street, Tottenham Court Road.

The MateBook"s key specs include:

  • Intel Core m3 6Y30 / Intel Core m5 6Y45 processor options
  • 4GB / 8GB RAM
  • 128GB / 256GB storage
  • 5MP front-facing camera

  • Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac
  • Bluetooth 4.1
  • USB 3.0 port with Type-C connector
  • 4430mAh battery

The MateBook will only be offered in gold/white in the UK, with no availability of the black version sold in some markets. British buyers won"t be offered any MateBooks with the Intel Core m7 processor option either.

The Core m3 model is now available in the UK for £749.99, while the Core m5 version is priced at £999.99.
