Along with the launch of the Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro in China, the Chinese manufacturer also unveiled the Huawei Watch 2 Pro. The wearable device looks similar to the Huawei Watch 2 Classic in terms of looks, but there are a few features which differ.
The wearable device comes with an eSIM slot which supports 4G/3G/2G connections. Furthermore, the device features a Chinese version of Android Wear 2.0 which isn"t connected to any Google service.
The Huawei Watch 2 Pro also features Bluetooth, WiFi connectivity, and NFC for mobile payments. The device will support Huawei Pay, Alipay and Wechat Pay in China. As for other specifications, there"s a 1.2” AMOLED display with 390 x 390 pixels resolution, Snapdragon 2100 processor paired with 768MB RAM and 4GB storage. It also boasts IP68 certification making it dust and water resistant up to a certain extent (depths of 1.5m for up to 30 minutes).
Huawei"s latest smartwatch is available for purchase on JD.com for ¥2588 (approx. $390). There"s no word about the availability of the wearable outside China.
