Back in February, Huawei introduced the newest entries from its MediaPad lineup of Android tablets, the M5. Today, the firm announced that the tablets are available for purchase. Powered by the company"s own Kirin 960 octa-core processor, the device comes in 8.4- and 10.8-inch flavors, with the latter also having a Pro variant that comes with a pen.
The tablets come with a 2560x1600 IPS LCD, along with 4GB RAM and 64GB of on-board storage. The main differences between the smaller one and the larger one - other than screen size - is the larger battery of 7500mAh over 5100mAh, and the 10.8-inch variant has Pogo pins on the back for connecting a keyboard. But while the M-Pen comes with the MediaPad M5 Pro, the keyboard does not.
As usual with the MediaPad series, there"s a focus on entertainment with the M5. Like in previous generations, the new tablets make use of Harman Kardon audio, with dual speakers on the 8.4-inch model and quad-speakers on the 10.8-inch variant.
You can purchase the Huawei MediaPad M5 from Amazon and Newegg now, at $319 for the 8.4-inch one, $359 for the 10.8-inch one, and $449 for the M5 Pro.
