The Hulu streaming video service may not have as many users as Netflix, but it is still a great place to check out recent episodes from NBC, ABC and FOX TV shows. Today, that video watching experience just got a big revamp for PC web browsing users thanks to an upgrade that increased the size of Hulu"s video player by a whopping 55 percent.
In addition to the size jump, the background matte has been changed to a dark gray color which should make watching episodes of Modern Family and House easier. There"s also a new frame and drop shadow for the video player. In addition, all of the information about each video you are watching such as the show"s name, episode title and more have been moved below the video image. You can also let friends on Twitter and Facebook know you are spending time watching an episode of 30 Rock in the new design.
While Hulu has added and improved the PC video experience, it has also taken away the option to "dim the lights" which turned everything but the video you were watching on the screen darker. Some people have commented on the Hulu blog site that they miss this feature and other commentors don"t care for moving the pop out video feature into the "More" menu.
