With one more week to go before it ends, the latest edition of the Humble Indie Bundle "pay what you want" sales event has reached a high milestone. The event"s official web site has revealed that the Humble Indie Bundle 3 has gone over the $1 million revenue mark. In addition the organizers of the bundle have now added a sixth game to the mix; the sci-fi arcade action game Steel Storm. The game joins the five previously announced indie titles in the bundle: the 2D physics puzzle game Crayon Physics Deluxe, the puzzle title Cogs, the platformer game VVVVVV, the 2D action game Hammerfight and the physics based platformer And Yet it Moves.
All six games can now be purchased for any amount; normally buying all six games would cost well over $50. All six games are DRM free and all come in Windows, Linux and Mac versions. In addition any purchase of the Humble Indie Bundle 3 will get access to the full version of the hit sandbox game Minecraft until August 14. So far the highest bid for the games has been $4,096.
Keep in mind that the bundle deal also allows people to donate money to two charities, the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Child"s Play, if they so choose. You can also sent a "tip" to the Humble Bundle team which helps to pay for "the bandwidth and development of this promotion". This latest edition of the Humble Indie Bundle is scheduled to end at 7 pm Eastern time on August 9.
