From time to time, the Humble Store has offered free games such as Metro 2033 in celebration of its first birthday and, more recently, Tropico 4 in September. Now, the Humble Store is looking to spread some holiday cheer by giving away Codemasters classic.
The PC version of GRID, originally released back in 2008, is now available to download at no cost for the next 40 hours. On the whole, the PC version of the game was well-received having managed a Metacritic score of 87 out of 100, faring better than its sequel, GRID 2, which managed a score of 80.
In order to get the game, you"ll need to head over to the Humble Store and click the "Get it Free!" button. You"ll need to log in with your Humble account details (or create an account if you don"t already have one) in order to complete the transaction.
Upon successful checkout, you can click through to obtain your free Steam key, redeemable via the Steam client. However, don"t let the key sit in your Humble Store account for too long as the redemption deadline for GRID keys is December 31st, 2016 at 10:00 AM Pacific after which they will disappear.
