Hyperkin offers a wide assortment of gaming consoles and video game accessories. While a multi-cartridge console like the "RetroN 5" might seem like it would offer enough gaming support - it appears that the company has decided to introduce a new adapter, that will expand the capabilities to accommodate three more consoles.
As mentioned previously, you can now upgrade the RetroN 5 with a new adapter that will allow you to play Sega Master System, Game Gear, and even Master System Card (or, in Japan, My Card) games. The converter will slot into the existing Genesis port and will cost $59.99. Although the RetroN 5 made its debut three years ago, it still offers quite a bit of value despite its higher price tag of $159.99 with five cartridge slots that support the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Game Boy (plus Game Boy Color), Game Boy Advance, Sega Genesis, and each of the aforementioned consoles international variants.
The Hyperkin RetroN 5 3-in-1 Adapter will be available from the company"s website and through Amazon on February 28. Now, the real question is when will Hyperkin release its Smart Boy to retail?
