Hyperkin's Admiral is a wireless Bluetooth Nintendo 64 controller coming early next year

For the past few years, Hyperkin has been catching the public"s attention thanks to its more interesting and unique products like the Smart Boy, Duke Controller, and its updated take on Nintendo"s Game Boy. Now, the company has announced that it will be releasing the "Admiral", a "pro-style" wireless Bluetooth controller for the Nintendo 64.

As you can see from the image at the top of the article, the new controller forgoes the original triple-pronged Nintendo 64 controller design, which looked kind of like an "M", and smooths things out to look and feel a bit more modern. Perhaps one of the more interesting updates that new controller brings is the ability to save Controller Pak data to a microSD card, allowing you to easily backup and even transfer the data.

The controller will feature:

  • Wireless up to 30 ft. via included Bluetooth dongle
  • Memory card inside dongle allows you to back up and transfer memory pack save data
  • Built-in lithium-ion battery lasts for 6 hours and recharges via included Micro USB cable
  • Compatible with all N64 models, as well as PC, Mac, IOS, and Android via Bluetooth
  • Classic grey color

Hyperkin has not confirmed a price or a release date but stated that it should be available in Q1 of 2019.
