Ahead of E3 2017, Hyperkin announced its latest product, the Duke controller. While it was on display at the show, it was tucked inside a smudgy case, much like its Smart Boy from last year. Although we didn"t get a chance to get our hands on it, we did get to see more of its unique feature.
This accessory was created in partnership between Hyperkin and Microsoft. Not only will this be a fully functional controller when released, it will also be a limited edition item that will most likely become a collectible. While the exterior tries to remain faithful to the original as best as possible, there are added features like the twin bumpers and its OLED display.
As mentioned previously, the controller will feature a circular OLED display, whose sole purpose is to emanate an animated Xbox logo. While it is a bit tough to see, the display in the controller shows off the original boot animation of the original Xbox that was released in 2001.
The new controller will offer compatibility with the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. Currently, it is unknown when this controller will arrive or how much it will cost, but each one will be numbered since it will be part of a limited number.
