IE6 download halted

Microsoft temporarily halted the Download of the new Internet Explorer 6.0 yesterday from its new redesigned site.

This was caused by an error in the setup routine (as some of our visitors had already experienced) 1000"s had already downloaded and were met with an array of error messages. If you have had troubles installing IE6, download the new setup file and it should work ok.

This is an embarrasement for Microsoft who had pinned their hopes on re-taking the browser market with IE6. So far it has encountered install problems, quicktime plugins disabled (now fixed) and Netscape activeX controls and plugin support removed. (and not to mention the poor CNet review who rated IE6 under Netscape 6.1)
