Codemasters today revealed a few interesting details on their plans for multiplayer support in Innerloop"s upcoming action game IGI 2: Covert Strike. IG2 will offer a multiplayer game mode featuring full team-oriented multiplayer action with squads of up to eight players on both sides. Each player will have a cash reserve to spend on weapons, hardware - or the ability to "buy their way back into the game" after being eliminated. Interesting. This new mode will also offer some interesting multi-objective based gameplay including hacking data satellites to launching space shuttles, bombing oil refineries and escorting convoys. You can read the full report here. Look for IGI2 in September.
