Sources close to motherboard manufacturers have now confirmed a Digitimes report earlier this week suggesting that Intel"s 845G (for graphics) chipset will now be launched along with its 845E on May 20th.
The reason for the shift is reckoned to be marketing - the 845E is the 533MHz bus version of Intel"s Pentium 4 chipset - and it is also believed that it may want to use the additional time to sell more of its 845D (for DDR) chipset and also give some room to those nice other companies that have licensed the technology.
The crippled cut down version of its 845 Pentium 4 chipset, the 845GL, will not be launched until perhaps two to three weeks after the G and E.
