Intel, AMD take Microsoft's Route 64

Microsoft has almost completed its Route 64 series of roadshows in Europe, intended to promote its Windows XP 64 bit edition - scheduled to be released in the fourth quarter of this year. The last gig in Europe happens in Moscow on May 18th next, and then the tour starts to happen all over America, winding up in Asia towards the end of June and the beginning of July. The one day seminars are aimed at developers who want to find out all about 64 bit versions of XP, Server, .net, Framework and SQL Server. The seminars cover the Windows 64-bit roadmap and we understand that AMD and Intel are at all the sessions to encourage the porting of software to iAMD64.
