Dual-screen laptops seem to be a thing at this year"s Computex, bringing a breath of fresh air to PC form factors. After ASUS unveiled the ZenBook Duo series with a large secondary screen above the keyboard, Intel has demonstrated its concept laptop with the same companion display at the event, code-named Honeycomb Glacier.
According to the company, the laptop concept is specifically built for gamers and creators as it is capable of meeting the most demanding tasks. For gamers, in particular, streaming and playing games can be done on the laptop at the same time, thanks to its secondary display which Intel claims can equally handle applications without overlapping their gameplay or switching between apps.
That is not at all surprising since the prototype is powered by the latest 9th Gen Intel Core mobile processors. It has a double hinge and a built-in stand that props up the two displays at eye level for added ergonomics (see video below).
The prototype sports a 15.6-inch Full HD display and a 12.3-inch secondary screen with a resolution of 1920x720, per PC Gamer. It is important to note that the ZenBook Duo"s design is actually based on Honeycomb Glacier. Intel says it is working with more OEMs to expand the design"s availability to more PCs.
