Intel Corp. has quietly added three new mobile chips into the family without releasing any statements on the matter and without including them into the official price-list. Three fresh additions to the mobile product lineup are Intel Pentium 780, Intel Pentium Low-Voltage 778 and Intel Celeron M 380, which are designed for high-end, low-power and value mobile computers respectively.
Intel Pentium M 780 processor operates at 2.26GHz at full power, contains 2MB of L2 cache and sports 533MHz processor system bus. The new microprocessor has thermal design power (TDP) of 27W, similar to predecessors and is made using 90nm process technology. The chip is optimized for operation in laptops, thus, contains special architecture enhancements in addition to Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology (EIST) support. The novelty also features Execute Disable Bit (EDB) security capability. The chip is made using 90nm process technology and is already available.
