Intel To Delay Sonoma Launch

Intel is set to delay the official launch of its forthcoming Sonoma mobile processor. According to company sources, Intel has decided to put off the formal launch from the second half of 2004 to early 2005. While not making an official announcement, the Santa Clara, Calif., company has begun telling some customers of its new plans. Intel still plans to release the processor to OEMs as scheduled, but a source said "technical and marketing factors" have caused it to push back the formal launch date.
