Intel has released a new display driver version 30.0.101.1298 that brings support for the company"s 12th gen Alder Lake processor graphics. The driver here is aimed specifically at mobile Alder Lake H and as such, the driver is optimized for Xe-LP graphics architecture present inside them.
The driver here is aimed at the following SKUs:
- Intel® Core™ i5-12600H Processor (18M Cache, up to 4.50 GHz)
- Intel® Core™ i5-12450H Processor (12M Cache, up to 4.40 GHz)
- Intel® Core™ i5-12500H Processor (18M Cache, up to 4.50 GHz)
- Intel® Core™ i7-12650H Processor (24M Cache, up to 4.70 GHz)
- Intel® Core™ i7-12800H Processor (24M Cache, up to 4.80 GHz)
- Intel® Core™ i7-12700H Processor (24M Cache, up to 4.70 GHz)
- Intel® Core™ i9-12900H Processor (24M Cache, up to 5.00 GHz)
- Intel® Core™ i9-12900HK Processor (24M Cache, up to 5.00 GHz)
Back in November, it was reported that Intel was beginning to ship Alder Lake-P chips to its OEM partners and at CES 2022, the company unveiled a whole bunch of these processor SKUs. In total, there are four different types of Alder Lake-P chips belonging to four different power segments. They are:
- H series (mentioned above)
- P series
- U series/15W
- U series/9W

Here are the known issues in this driver release:
- Crash or hang may be seen when starting CrossFire* (DX9), FIFA 21* (DX12), Forza Horizon 4* (DX12), Watch Dogs: Legion* (DX12).
- Intermittent crash or hang may be seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War* (DX12), Horizon Zero Dawn* (DX12), Far Cry 6* (DX12).
- Graphic anomalies may be observed in Dark Souls 3* (DX11), Diablo II: Resurrected* (DX12), Far Cry 6* (DX12), Farming Simulator 22* (DX12), Gears 5* (DX12), Genshin Impact* (DX11), Grand Theft Auto* (DX11), GRID 2019* (DX12), Halo Infinite* (DX12), Metro Exodus* (DX12) (when quality set to low), Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint* (DX11).
- Blank screen observed on 8K external display and internal display while playing video in extended mode.
