It is hard to believe how much Huawei has stepped in the smartphone and tablet industry. Just a few hours since we learnt that Huawei will be launching the quad-core powered Ascend D quad smartphone, the company showcased the a new tablet device called the MediaPad 10 FHD.
It’s fair to say that this is a incredibly high-end device. The MediaPad 10 FHD has a 1920 x 1200 display, an 8-megapixel camera, and Huawei"s new and impressive K3 processor which is believed to be used in the Ascend D quad. The MediaPad 10 FHD is just 8.8mm thick, which is the same thickness as the Ascend D quad. From what we can see from the image below, the 1080p display looks fantastic, with great viewing angles and sharpness to spare. It"s running Android 4.0, and like the Ascend D quad being the fastest smartphone in its category, this could be the fastest device in the tablet category.
The device is still in its early stages of production but should be available from the second quarter of the year.
It is good to see Huawei step up in such a technological manner – Give it another five years and the company could be the next Samsung.
What are your thoughts? We’ll keep you posted.
