Some brand new content is finally heading to Hitman, IO Interactive announced today. No exact details were shared as to what this new content will be, however, the developer confirmed that it won"t be the game"s highly-anticipated second season.
Hitman"s future was up in the air earlier this year due to Square Enix putting IO Interactive up for sale. In the end, the studio managed to separate from the publisher while holding onto the Hitman IP.
Aside from the monthly additions of contracts and elusive targets, the game has not received any new missions or "episodes" since last year. While it"s not a whole new season, hopefully, the announcement will reveal some new regions Agents 47 will be going into.
The announcement is slated to occur on October 24 at 2pm CEST, and there aren’t any hints on what it could contain other than the blurred image of a person in front of a spiral, with the developer saying that it is "going to let the announcement itself do all the talking".
Meanwhile. we will also see 10 new Featured Contracts and a Master Scarecrow Challenge Pack containing five new challenges hitting the game on October 13. Later in October, the developer plans to launch another 10 Featured Contracts that have been curated by a player in the community.
