Earlier today, Apple seeded new Developer Beta builds of iOS 10.2, macOS 10.12.2 Sierra, and watchOS 3.1.1. It took a bit longer, but the company has now released iOS 10.2 and macOS 10.12.2 beta 4 to Public Beta testers. Of course, there is no Public Beta program for watchOS.
For many, the most notable feature of either OS will be the added emoji support that comes with Unicode 9. There are a total of 72 new emojis, so you can now express your love of bacon, avocado, and more with your friends without the hassle of using real words.
There"s also a new TV app on iOS, which is meant to replace the Videos app and serve as a hub for your video content consumption. Another thing that you"re going to want to keep in mind after installing iOS 10.2 is the new Camera settings. If you don"t set it to keep your settings from the last time that you were in the app, you"ll end up with features such as Live Photos turned on every time you launch the camera.
If you"re not on the Public Beta program, no worries. Both of these updates should hit the general public in December.
