iOS 4.2 seeded to developers

Apple has just released its GM (gold master) copy of iOS 4.2 to its developer network. iOS 4.2 is expected to fix many bugs including the recently discovered exploit that allows you to bypass any iPhone lock screen.

The update is primarily for the iPad as it will bring a plethora of new features including the ability to create folders, print from their device, stream content, game center, multitasking, and other tweaks and enhancements. The iPhone will also receive the ability to print documents as well.

Apple promised iOS 4.2 back in September and has delivered on that promise. Recently the iOS platform has come under fire for an exploit that allowed any user to bypass the iPhone lock screen with a few simple clicks and a daylight savings bug that cased phone alarms to go off at the wrong time.

iOS 4.2 is now available in the development center for Apple developers which means that general availability will be released soon.
