With the help of the iFixYouri iPhone 4 repair shop, 9to5Mac has landed themselves what they believe is an iPad 2 LCD, fresh out of China. Almost 2 weeks a go, the website had acquired images and data that seemed to forecast a February 9th launch. But we can see, at least in part, what eventually will become the iPad 2.
The display is lighter, and over 1mm thinner than the current iPad’s display with a smaller surrounding frame.
A comment posted on the site by a person calling himself "King" also went further into detail pointing out various specifications, but these have yet to be verified; they are:
- (LP)097×02 SLN1= LG Phillips
- LP(097)x02 SLN1= 9.7 inch display
- LP097x(02) SLN1= used on displays with xga,sxga,wsxga
- LP097x02 (SL)N1= H-IPS
- LP097x02 SL (N1)= Not sure
So Lg Phillips 9.7in XGA 1024×768 H-IPS display
More images of the screen can be seen here, in comparison to an iPad 1 screen.
