Apparently the iPhone 5 will enter production in September of this year meaning the device will likely be on sale at the end of the year, or early next year according to a company named "Avian Securities." The post, which comes from Business Insider, reports that the news was leaked during a conversation Avian had with a "key component supplier to Apple."
"Conversations with yet another key component supplier indicates that production for iPhone-5 will begin in September," says the article. There is also talk of a low-cost, lower specification version of the iPhone being made, "In addition, our conversations also indicate the existence of a lower-spec/lower-priced iPhone in Apple"s roadmap." The company also claims they managed to uncover "several data-points in recent months pointing to the existence of a lower-spec/lower-price iPhone" to back up the claim.
Various reports and rumours have been circulating the blogging world recently and, to date, it is speculated the iPhone 5 may have a metal construction, illuminated bezel, 8MP camera and maybe even allow wireless payments. Of course only when Apple release some solid details can anyone confirm these are one hundred percent accurate, however if we go by past leaks and rumours it is likely we will see at least some of these features in the next generation phone from Apple.
