iPhone 6 may hark back to original iPhone for design inspiration

Another week has passed and unsurprisingly a new iPhone 6 leak has emerged. Although this one is not as exciting as the sapphire crystal screen torture test, it still gives us a new glimpse at the next generation iPhone. While we have a good idea of what the next iPhone will look like as a whole, this new leak shows a couple of new details in regards to the volume buttons, the Apple logo, and the camera lens.

According to Feld & Volk, a luxury accessory manufacturer for Apple products, they have received some new parts that might indicate a couple of new style changes for the upcoming iPhone 6. From the looks of what they have obtained, the iPhone 6 might have low profile recessed volume buttons that will be surrounded by a bezel with chamfered edges. This is in stark contrast to the volume buttons on the iPhone 5S, but looks similar to the leaked next generation iPad Air we covered last month.

We also get our first look at a purported embedded Apple logo. The logo looks highly polished in the pictures and harks back to the original iPhone released in 2007 that utilized the same two-piece construction. The source states that the polished logo is made from a highly scratch resistant material.

Lastly, the accessory manufacturer was able to obtain a iPhone 6 camera ring that fits snuggly on the back of the leaked back shells. This ring looks very similar to the ones that can be found on the current generation iPod Touch. While all of these parts could be completely off the mark, it won"t be much longer before we get our first official glimpse of the iPhone 6. Apple is scheduled to have an event on September 9th, 2014 that will most likely mark the official announcement of the new iPhone.
