OK, this, I am very skeptical off... But I thought I"d post anyway, considering that the student did actually win the well respected Young Scientist award, no mean feat in itself...
A computer browser that is said to least quadruple surfing speeds on the Internet has won the top prize at the 39th Esat BT Young Scientist exhibition for young scientists, held in Ireland
Adnan Osmani, a 16 year old leaving cert student (originally from Pakistan) at Saint Finian"s College in Mullingar central Ireland, spent 18 months writing 780,000 lines of computer code to develop the browser. According to Adnan, "The Browser incorporates a novel algorithm that can increase the internet access speed fourfold facilitating multifunctional usage."
