Jabra has expanded its portfolio of earbuds with a new addition plus an upgrade to its existing lineup. The company announced today the new Elite 85t with active noise cancellation (ANC) and a refreshed Elite 75t series.
The Elite 75t range is set to receive Jabra"s standard ANC feature via an over-the-air update. In October, the earbuds will also be available to purchase with the standard ANC onboard with no increase to its existing price ($149.99 for the Elite 75t and $199.99 for the Elite Active 75t). It features an IP55/IP57 rating for durability and its battery life can last up to 5.5 hours on a single charge, with a total of 24 hours of battery life with its charging case. Its battery life can also be extended up to 7.5 hours if its ANC feature is turned off.
Meanwhile, Jabra"s new Elite 85t comes with advanced ANC capability as opposed to the standard version found in the 75t series. That is thanks to its dedicated ANC chip and the earbuds feature a six-microphone call technology. In addition, it has four-microphone ANC that uses mics on the inside and the outside of the earbuds. The 85t also features a semi-open design with natural hear through.
Its battery life can last up to 5.5 hours of listening with ANC on, extendable up to 25 hours with the charging case with ANC on, although that can be stretched a bit longer up to 31 hours with ANC off. The earbuds are IPX4-rated for dust and water protection. The 85t also supports wireless charging, compatible with all Qi-enabled chargers. It will be up for grabs in November for €229 or $229, available in the Titanium/Black variant, while the Gold/Beige, Copper/Black, Black and Grey will be released in January next year.
