The Bluetooth speaker market is flooded with many different options.. Although several companies have attempted to generate buzz by introducing new concepts, it seems like JBL is ready to take the crown starting September with their latest entry into the Bluetooth portable speaker segment, the "Pulse 2".
The "Pulse 2" is a new portable Bluetooth speaker that was introduced recently at IFA Berlin 2015. Although the design is identical to JBL"s other portable speakers, the Pulse 2 is set to improve on those previous iterations with improvements in audio quality, advancements with the offered LED array and will package that into a new water-resistant housing.
Much like the previous Pulse, users will have the ability to customize the external LED display with custom colors and patterns via JBL"s smartphone app. If you are looking to color match the LED array to your surroundings, the Pulse 2 also offers a built-in camera which JBL is calling a "Prism Color Sensor Lens". If you happen to own multiple Pulse 2"s, they will have the ability to sync up, play music and illuminate together.
The Pulse 2 is currently available for preorder directly from the JBL website. The black version will begin shipping in September, while the silver version will arrive in mid-October. The Pulse 2 will retail for $199 USD.
