Google released its latest monthly Android security update just over two weeks ago, making it immediately available for its supported Nexus and Pixel devices. Google"s hardware partners are continuing to bring that update to their own devices, including Samsung, which is now rolling out the new patches to four of its handsets.
The June security update has begun making its way to the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, starting in China, with build numbers G930W8VLS2BQF1 and G935W8VLS2BQF1, respectively. As The Android Soul reports, the update is also heading to international variants of the Galaxy Note Edge, bumping it up to build N915FXXS1DQF1; and the Galaxy Note 4, as build N910FXXS1DQE9. SamMobile notes that unlocked models of the Note 4 in Europe are receiving the update as build N910FXXS1DQF3.
In addition to fixes for dozens of vulnerabilities and other flaws in the Android OS, Samsung"s version of the update includes additional fixes for issues specific to its Galaxy devices. The update also brings unspecified bug fixes and stability improvements for each handset.
