Keychron begins offering its K1 slim mechanical keyboard to the general public

When Keychron debuted its keyboard on Kickstarter back in October, it had a vision of introducing to the world a slim and portable mechanical unit, at a fair price. The keyboard was a success, being funded a month later and shipping to backers in January. If you missed out on the initial offering or aren"t a fan of backing crowdfunding projects, you can now purchase the Keychron K1 directly from the company"s website.

The firm has made three options available, a single color LED backlit model with 87 keys, an RGB LED backlit model with 87 keys, and an RGB LED backlit model with 104 keys. The pricing starts at just $74 and goes up $10 for each respective model. You will also have a choice of choosing between a Mac or Windows configuration when it comes to keys, with the Mac variant offering a dedicated Siri button, while the Windows version will have a dedicated key for Cortana.

If interested, you can head to the Keychron website where it is now available for purchase. The units should be shipping out this month.
