Killing Floor Sideshow event now active

Tripwire Interactive"s horror shooter Killing Floor has sold over a million copies since the game was launched in 2009. However, the team is still working to add new content to the game. Earlier this week, Tripwire launched the second annual summer Sideshow event, which adds lots of new content to the game for free.

The Sideshow event has a circus/freakshow theme and includes an all new map, Hellride, that takes players on a carnival trip they won"t soon forget. All of the game"s normal creatures are replaced with the Sideshow versions for the duration of the event.

In addition, Tripwire had added five new weapons to Killing Floor (previously available in a different form as a third party mod). There are also nine new Steam achievements added to the game, and 16 more achievements that can only obtained if you play the game through the Sideshow event.

Finally, there are four new characters to choose from in a new DLC pack and the Steampunk Mr Foster character is unlocked for the Sideshow event only.

Tripwire has posted up a new trailer promoting the Killing Floor Sideshow, and it"s worth it just to check that out. The event will end on July 23rd.
