Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning leaks on Microsoft Store, releasing this August

A new leak on the Microsoft Store has shed light on an upcoming remaster, and it is a surprising one, with Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning getting a store page for Xbox One before any official announcements have been made. The game looks to be slated for launch in August, and that being only a couple of months away, the publisher THQ Nordic should be prepping to unveil the game soon.

According to the store, the open-world fantasy RPG has received visual and gameplay enhancements as a part of the remaster, and also includes all DLC from the original game such as The Legend of Dead Kel and Teeth of Naros.

Kaiko Games is handling the Kingdoms of Amalur remastering duties, the same studio that worked on the Darksiders Warmastered and Deathinitive edition releases for THQ Nordic.

Originally released in 2012, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning was developed by 38 Studios and Big Huge Games, and included work from well-known individuals like author R.A. Salvatore, Todd McFarlane of Spawn fame, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion designer Ken Rolston. However, 38 Studios ultimately went bankrupt, and later, THQ Nordic went on to purchase the franchise rights.

The release date listed on the Microsoft Store page for Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning has it launching on August 11, 2020. Also, PC and PlayStation 4 versions can at least be expected in addition to this Xbox One release.
