Konami's eFootball is the worst-rated game on Steam

Konami"s eFootball, earlier known as Pro Evolution Soccer (PES), arrived yesterday on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. This year"s edition is the first in the franchise that is being built using Unreal Engine 4, moving on from Konami"s Fox Engine.

Though eFootball just arrived yesterday, it is already the worst-rated game in the history of Steam, according to Steam 250. The service assigns Steam games a score based on reviews given by players, which can be either positive or negative. This information is then combined with how many players have given the review. Right now, eFootball has a score of 8% with more than 10,000 votes.

A Twitter user shared the image of Lionel Messi, who is the face of the game, looking significantly less realistic than his FIFA 22 counterpart. He also pointed out that while Konami was able to scan Messi"s face as part of its partnership with FC Barcelona, his EA"s character model is much more life-like.

Another issue that is being widely faced by gamers is that they are unable to increase the maximum resolution for the game beyond 1600x900 (via Reddit). Additionally, users are complaining that while the game was marketed as a complete revamp of the franchise, the currently released version feels like a demo. It remains to be seen whether Konami will address these concerns and more in future updates.
