The Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be released sometime in August, but even before that event, avid readers already know pretty much everything there is to know about the device. And as of today, they’re seeing the handset in more detail than ever, thanks to leaked press renders.
Those of you who have been following the saga of what was once dubbed the Galaxy Note 6, now named as the Galaxy Note 7, know that the device is Samsung’s worst kept secret. We’ve seen everything about this device leak over the last few months. Starting with the name, which seemingly skips a generation, to the overall curved-edge design, to the internal specs, to an unofficial render of the whole device. We’ve even seen the new TouchWiz UX that’s coming alongside the Note 7 and Android Nougat.
And now we’re also getting another look at the device, thanks to official press images that have leaked ahead of the expected August unveiling. As you can see in these images, supplied by noted leaker Evan Blass, there isn’t much that’s surprising. As rumored, the Note 7 features the same dual bent-edge design as the Galaxy S7 edge, while also coming in three color flavors. These are: Black Onyx, Silver Titanium and Blue Coral.
As for the internals of the device, according to the most recent and credible rumors, the Note 7 features:
- 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display
- 64 GB of internal storage and support for microSD cards
- 12-megapixel Dual Pixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera
- IP68 rated water and dust proofing
- Iris scanner
Of course Samsung hasn’t confirmed any of these details, but with less than a month to go we won’t have to wait long before we see how these rumors pan out.
