NEC"s LAVIE PCs are coming to the United States, Lenovo announced today ahead of CES. The three initial product offerings will include a 13-inch laptop, a 15-inch laptop, and an all-in-one.
"I strongly believe customers in the US market will appreciate the aesthetic and functionality of these devices," said David Bennett, President and CEO of NEC Personal Computers, a joint venture between Lenovo and NEC Corporation. "All created in strategic collaboration with leaders in Japanese innovation to bring the best of engineering and design to these products."
First up is the LAVIE HOME All-in-One. It includes an LG Crystal Sound Display, tuned by Yamaha, and it"s designed to fit in with your home. The 27-inch screen is FHD, and it includes a Core i7-10510U, 8GB RAM, and a 256GB SSSD + 3TB HDD. It will be available in March, starting at $1,799.99.
Next up is the LAVIE Vega, a 15.6-inch laptop that has a 45W H-series processor and a 4K display. Oddly enough though, the Core i7-9750H isn"t paired with any dedicated graphics, and it weighs in at 4.06 pounds. It includes two 2W Yamaha speakers, and the aluminum laptop comes in blue.
The LAVIE Vega will be available in March, starting at $2,099.99.
Last up is the LAVIE Pro Mobile, which might be the most interesting of the three because it weighs in at just 1.85 pounds. That makes it one of the lightest 13.3-inch laptops around, especially since it has a full 15W U-series processor. The CPU is eighth-gen though, offered with a Core i7-8565U. As you"d expect, it"s made of magnesium-lithium and carbon fiber, and it comes in a Classic Bordeaux color.
The LAVIE Pro Mobile will be available in March, starting at $1,599.99.
