At CES this year, Lenovo announced its new brand for gaming PCs, Legion, and alongside it, two new Legion laptops: the Y520 and Y720. A few months later, the firm unveiled the flagship Y920.
But today at gamescom, Lenovo is introducing a trio of desktop towers with the same names. All of them are VR-ready, with support for Oculus, Windows Mixed Reality, and more.
The Legion Y520 Tower is the most budget-friendly of the group. Starting at $899.99, the processor it comes with can be between a Core i3-7100 and a Core i7-7700. GPU options are the Nvidia GTX 1050-Ti, GTX 1060 3GB, and AMD Radeon RX 560.
Starting at $999.99, the Legion Y720 Tower comes in Core i5 and i7 configurations, with GPU options of the GTX 1060 6GB, GTX 1070 8GB, GTX 1050Ti, and Radeon RX 570 8GB. It also comes with up to a 512GB SSD, whereas the Y520 comes with up to 128GB, and up to a 2TB HDD.
But the Y920 Tower is the flagship of the bunch. The Core i5 and i7 configurations offered include K-series processors, meaning that they can be overclocked. You can get it with up to an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 8GB GPU, up to two 512GB SSDs, and up to a 4TB HDD. The desktop PC can also be configured with up to 32GB 2800MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX overclockable DDR4 memory.
There will also be a variant of the Y920 Tower that comes with liquid cooling, and a Legion 25f gaming monitor; however, they won"t be coming to the United States.
The Legion Y920 Tower will start at $1,999.99, and all three of the PCs will be available beginning in October.
