Lenovo announces noise-canceling headphones to compete with Surface Headphones

Microsoft introduced the Surface Headphones back in October, and if Surface exists for nothing else, it"s so that Microsoft"s partners can work from the designs and ideas. Today in Barcelona, Lenovo introduced the X1 ANC Headphones and the Yoga ANC Headphones. Both devices are pretty much the same, except Yoga is the consumer brand and Think is for businesses.

They both support both active and electronic noise cancelation, with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. They include a collapsible 90-degree hinge for the aluminum-finished ear cups and a boom-less microphone. The devices also support Quick Charge via USB Type-C.

Naturally, they"re optimized for Skype, so they"ll be useful in video calls. There"s also Smart Voice pickup, for better conference calling, along with Voice Control for quick-access controls such as the noise cancelation settings and volume.

The X1 ANC Headphones will cost $149 in the U.S., although availability is to be determined. They"ll arrive in EMEA regions in June for €158 including VAT. The Yoga ANC Headphones will cost $169.99 in the U.S., arriving in July, and they"ll be available in EMEA regions in June for €158 including VAT. It"s unclear why the Yoga ANC Headphones cost more in the United States than the X1, but it does come with a pouch and it"s meant to have a more premium design. Both headphones work with Windows, iOS, and Android.
