Lenovo announced some new smart home devices today at CES, including the Smart Frame and a new Smart Tab M10.
The Smart Frame is exactly what it sounds like, a digital picture frame. It has a 21.5-inch 1080p display that has an anti-glare coating, so it should look more like a natural picture. Of course, it will adjust the color tone to the ambient light in the room, which is something that should also make it feel more natural. It uses a snap-on mounting system that Lenovo says is easy to set up, and it lets you rotate the Smart Frame 90 degrees.
The Lenovo Smart Frame runs a version of Android 10 that"s based on the Android Open Source Project, so there aren"t any Google services, but you"ll be able to add photos from an app on your phone. There"s also a library of curated art that you can use.
The latest iteration of the Smart Tab M10 has Google Assistant built into it, so you can also use it to show Google Photos albums when you"re not using it. It has a 10.3-inch FHD display with 4.6mm bezels, and two side Dolby Atmos speakers. The tablet docks into the Smart Charging Station, which is what turns it into a smart speaker.
Finally, Lenovo introduced Connected Home Security, which is meant to make your smart home devices more secure. It will be available to download through the Lenovo Vantage app on Windows 10, and it will be free for 30 days in the U.S. and $29.99 per year after that.
The Lenovo Smart Frame will be available in August starting at $399, while the Smart Tab M10 FHD Plus 2nd Gen with the Google Assistant (that"s actually its full name) will arrive in April starting at $189.99.
